...

- Q.
Why don't you do websites using Flash design or animation?
A. The way we
see it, Flash design
is nice but it is unnecessary and often distracting to website
visitors.
We believe it is better to develop an online identity for your business that is
attractive as well as informative, but not
distracting.
Most importantly, it should be search engine friendly.
Highly graphic based design
as well as Flash design is pretty much useless when it comes to search engine marketing,
these type
sites
are not accessible to search engine spiders.
Yes, "Image is everything" but,
when it comes to things like Flash, animations, sound and the like in website
design, the old "less is more" usually
works best.

engine marketing here.

- Q.
What happens when my contract expires and it comes time to renew my website domain
and hosting plan with you?
A. In most
cases your contract will be up for renewal a year from the
date of the agreement. Hosting and Domain services are
discounted if
renewed before the contract actually expires. If you
let these services expire, it will cost slightly more to
renew. All this will be outlined in your Service
Agreement/Contract.

- Q.
What exactly is
"Content Writing" and how does this service work?
A.
Content Writing is basically us writing text copy to be
posted on your website for you.
This is a team effort ... we work closely with you to learn
as much about your business and your marketing goals as
possible. Often it starts with taking information from
your current brochure and/or other marketing materials and
expanding from there. Then we take this information
and create search engine friendly/optimized, and informative
ad copy for your website.

- Q.
How does your logo design service work?
A.
A logo is a company or
product identifier. It can be as simple as a
particular font or color, or a
representation of your company's initials.
It can be a symbol or
concept drawing or some
geometric
shape. We offer basic logos and will work with you to
try and come up with a concept
design
that suits your business. See our
Portfolio page for some ideas
and sample logos we have done for others.

- Q.
What if I don't have a lot of photos to use in my website?
A.
If your website is selling a product, you will need to
provide product pictures. However, if you need photos
and graphic images to make your site more appealing, we can
help there. We have access to some 'clip art' photos and
'stock photography' images in just about any category.
And we can also create custom graphics for your site as
well. There are often additional fees required for these
services.

- Q.
You don't seem to have but one design package listed on the website, are there
other options?
A. Yes, of
course! We
have many design and hosting options available. We
usually start with the basic package and expand from there
to custom build
a package that suits you.
Email us and we will be glad to discuss your needs.

- Q.
Do I have to use your template for my website?
A. Of
course not! We use the template in the 'Basic' package
to keep costs low. It is simple and search engine
friendly and works well for most of our clients.
This template is customized to suit your business (your
logo, colors,
backgrounds, etc).
However, if you would rather have a fully custom designed
website, we can do that too. Custom designs are
subject to slightly higher fees.
Email us and we will be glad to discuss your
needs and ideas and see what we can do for you.

- Q.
How long will it take for my site to be up?
A. When you
register your domain name with us, it can take anywhere from 24-72
hours for the domain to propagate. Once this is done,
we will have a live page for your website 'parked' in the
space within a day. Your 'parked page' will be a
notice that reads "Under Construction/Coming Soon" along
with your contact info.
Once you provide us with all
the necessary information (images and text content) for your new website, we
can have
it completed,
published and live on the web within 2 weeks (or less) in
most cases. So it all depends of how soon you are able
to get the
information to us.

- Q.
If I pay for Search Engine Optimization and Submission, how long will it take for my site to appear
in the search
engine results?
A. Once we
complete the design and publish your website, we will
submit it to all the major search engines. i.e.
Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask Jeeves and more.
Search Engine marketing is an ongoing task and takes time
and dedication. It is more than just building the site
and submitting it to the search engines.
The search engines make no guarantee as to when or if your
site will be indexed, therefore we cannot give you a
definite answer there either.
We make no claims to know all the secrets of all the search
engines but we have done our homework on the subject and we
have a pretty good idea of what is needed to get you noticed
by the search engines.
In our
experiences we have found that many websites (that are
properly optimized) are indexed and
will show up in some of the search engines within a month. Google
can take longer as sometimes
they "sandbag" new sites for up to 6 months.
How well your site actually ranks with the search engines is another
issue all together. There are many factors that effect
the ranking of your site; such as competition,
link popularity and more ... it will
take time and effort to attain and maintain high rankings.
Working together with you we can help to get you on the
right path.
As with many things, there is more than one way to do
websites and search engine optimization. Our way is
one of the many and works well for some people; others may
want something more … such things will usually cost much
more too.
Read more about what search engines look for
here.
It is a good idea to get together what you want to get out
of your site from a visual, functionally and optimization
standpoint before signing on with us. If you are
looking for more than we can provide, then you might need to
search elsewhere.

- Q.
What about Browser compatibility?
A.
To keep our design fees
low, we primarily optimize
for
Microsoft Internet
Explorer. This is is still the number one most popular
and most commonly used web browser. The next three most
common browsers are 'Mozilla Firefox', 'Netscape Navigator'
and 'Opera'.
However, an added plus in our page designs is that there is
usually only minor variations in the way content is
displayed between these four common browsers.
You can download these browsers
yourself for free. Then view some of the sites in our
portfolio in all four and check out the variations and see what you think.
Download Firefox
Download Netscape
Download Opera If you wish
for us
to specifically design and optimize your site for one particular
browser or all four of these,
(which will take more time than normal) we are happy to do so for a
small
additional fee.

- Q.
How do I communicate with you about my project?
A.
In order to keep our service fees low we handle all of our
client correspondence via Email, Standard Mail, Phone, Fax,
Yahoo Instant Messenger and Live Chat. Through the
wonders of these technologies, we are proud to offer our
services to anyone in the continental US!
We are not able to actually meet face to face with with our
clients.

- Q.
Ok, I think I am ready; what do I need to do to get started?
A. First you
will need to get all your information (text copy, graphics,
etc) together and have a
goal/plan for your website in mind. This will give us
a place to work from and make the process
go smoother. We can help with this if needed, but it
will add time and possibly additional fees to your project.
It is a good idea to figure out what you want to get out of
your site from a visual, functionally and optimization
standpoint before signing on with us too. If you are
looking for more than we can provide, then you might need to
search elsewhere.
Once you are comfortable with our services and are ready to
get started, then send us an
Email with
your name, company name, what services you are
interested in,
your contact info and your project deadline. We will
then send you an email conformation and get further details
to make payment arrangements and send you a Service
Agreement to review and sign.
Or, if you are local and
prefer to contact us by phone, you may call 678-516-1084.
*best time to call, Monday - Friday from Noon-8pm EST*
If you don't reach us, leave a detailed message and we will
return your call.
